Title: 90 days Thru the Bible
Author: Chris Tiegreen
Publisher: Tyndale House Publishers
Release Date: October 2012
90 Days Thru the Bibleis a devotional that summarizes the meaning of each section and major theme in the Bible and pairs it with applications for the reader’s own life. Applications to world events and correlating Judaic Law to current Christian principles are also included. Discussion questions for further consideration of the passage covered.
Like me you might find reading the Bible cover to cover a daunting project. However, this study guide gives just enough quality information for daily reflection without bogging down the reader. There is no heavy theological information but there are clear, concise concepts relating to the major passages of the Bible and the flow of God’s plan from Creation through Revelation; the “big picture” which heralds the coming of Christ. The author also does a good job of correlating the trials and tribulations of Biblical figures to those of the average Christian making the passages more personal. He adds more emotion to the comprehension of the Bible so that it carries more substance for the modern Christian.
90 Days Thru the Biblewould be a good tool for a Bible study or personal devotions for anyone wishing to read the Bible in its entirety through a guided plan. The discussion points would be especially beneficial for a group.
