5 Things: YouTube challenged edition

Happy Friday! Hope you all had a great week and are staying warm as the winter has decided to arrive a little early in some places. Fortunately, the Southwest has been pretty mild this week which I hope is a trend for the rest of the Season!
As you will see, I realized this week how little I know about YouTube culture. It\’s pretty amazing (if not aging) but that did lead me too some fun things to share. I hope you enjoy them:

1) One of the signs that I know I\’m getting older is I had no idea YouTube did a sort of \”year in review\” video. This year\’s YouTube Rewind: Turn Down for 2014 was rather well done and only slightly confusing in some places for the YouTube-challenged yours truly. (I had no idea who or what in the world a \”Pewdiepie\” was!) Worth a watch if just for a bit of online education.

2) And do you know what I\’m missing? A little more gingerbread in my life! The Huffington Post gathered some pretty fantastic gingerbread recipes. Of course, all I want are these gingerbread surprise beignets created by Half Baked Harvest  and the gingerbread bars from Buns in my Oven. Stat!

3) Disney Pixar recently released a trailer for their upcoming film Inside Out which is pretty cute. Hope you get a chuckle out of this one like I did! (And, yes, I just really like Pixar.)

4) Another film to be released in the near future is The Little Prince. Just FYI, the trailer is in French but I think you\’ll be able to enjoy it even if you don\’t speak the language. The animation is really impressive and I liked Lily Allen\’s version of \”Somewhere Only We Know\” as the soundtrack.

5) And how cool is this!?! This lake in the Slovakian Mountains is frozen and the ice is so clear that you can see what\’s below the surface. Beautiful!

Okay, that\’s all for now. Have a great weekend, everyone!
