5 Things: Puppies and pumpkins edition

Happy Friday! The glorious end of the week has arrived and not a moment too soon. (Though, somehow, I got to thinking that yesterday was Friday… sigh!)

Well, I hope you all have great plans for the weekend. Maybe winterizing the house? Or trying to plan ahead (for once!) about a centerpiece for the Thanksgiving table? (Me!) How about checking out \”5 Things\” first for a little inspiration?

1) This one is for my sister… adorable puppies! (I apologize in advance for some of the language… it is bleeped!) Pit Bulls (when raised by the right people) can be very sweet creatures. My sister\’s pit bull puppy used to sit on my feet if I wasn\’t paying attention to him. Adorable!

2) I really liked this idea for a pumpkin candle holder centerpiece! It requires hot glue which is pretty much my craft tool of choice. Win! Of course, my idea centerpiece would be reusable so I\’m still trying to figure out how to use a synthetic pumpkin. We shall see how it goes.
3) Speaking of Thanksgiving tables… I also love this roundup of 5 Table Runners You Can Make in Three Steps or Less from Real Simple. Generally I tend to shy away from table runners simply because they will be seen closely by everyone at dinner. But these ideas look like something I could do and do well.

4) Hazel and Ruby have some up with some genius \”Crafternoon\” (crafts you can do in an afternoon) craft kits. My favorite so far is the Chalk Ornament Craft Kit which is the result of a collaboration with another awesome blogger Bev from Flamgingo Toes. Love, love!

5) And let there be pie! I think you\’ll enjoy that round up of pie recipes from Rae Gun Ramblings because, well, pie is pretty delicious. (And, yes, there are chocolate pies!) Is it terrible that I don\’t want to have to wait for Thanksgiving to make pie? 🙂
Okay, that\’s all for now. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
