5 Things: Chocolatey Easter Edition

Happy Friday! Hope you all had a great week or maybe just the anticipation of some nice family time this weekend had made everything seem better. (Was it a looong week or was it just me?) Well, it\’s Easter week: a great time to celebrate with family and friends. And maybe enjoy the \”5 Things\” I found this week:

1) Because you know we need a really solid version of Handel\’s \”Hallelujah Chorus\” for Easter. I dare you not to sing along. 🙂

2) Easter and Passover have a lot of parallels which is why I\’m making Challah Bread part of our Easter celebration this year. That and the recipe is seriously delicious. Bread making can be time consuming but the results are highly satisfying. Especially when you attempt the six-strand plait. Incredible!

3)I\’ll see your traditional Easter lemon bars and macaroons and raise you a chocolate cake. Doesn\’t this look incredible? I\’ll let you know next week!

4) Digging through some old music (cassette tapes, gasp!) I came across Church of Rhythm and my favorite track is their a capella version of \”It Is Well With My Soul.\” Chills! (And if you\’re thinking Church of Rhythm sounds like a rap group, you\’re totally right. All their other music certainly brought the rhythm.)

5) And if you\’re looking for a good use for all those Peeps, why not a Sunflower Cake? Adorable!

Okay, that\’s all for now. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone, and Happy Easter!
