Happy Friday! Hope you all had a great week and maybe-just maybe-managed to indulge in the enjoyment of something truly delightful like a rainbow or some adorable creatures in your garden. (Yes, even the bunnies who nibble your veggies.) Maybe even a nice phone call from an old friend. Even if you haven\’t, how about making those things your weekend plans?
Of course, you should check out this week\’s \”5Things\” first… I think you\’ll like them!
1) Because you needed a broad smile today, check out these talented folks on the Tonight Show\’s \”Sidewalk Cinema.\” And, yes, William Wallace sounds surprisingly good with different accents. And what a fun highlight of a family vacation to NYC! (I need to know if my family would do a film reenactment with me… hmmm?)
2) Here is a very cool YouTube video about a dialect coach. I\’d love to hear more about her work… it\’s shame the video was so short!
3) This article from the Washington Post sums up one of the coolest parts of living in the Southwest. There are a lot of cool things to be found in the desert!
4) I love logic puzzles a little more than the average person. Possibly bordering on addiction. Those logic puzzle books in the drugstore are my weakness. There\’s a pretty cool app for Android and Apple that also satisfies my cravings. Note: The grammar isn\’t perfect but the puzzles are just complicated enough to keep me busy. (Did I mention it\’s also free?)
5) And, full disclosure: a friend on Facebook actually found this one. (Thank you, Lorry!) For the not-so-outdoorsy bibliophile, there are national parks that will pique your interest! So many books and just, plain awesome. Who wants to come with me?
Okay, that\’s all for now. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone! Don\’t forget to call an old friend this weekend to chat.
