30 Christmas Films: Day 2

Title: White Christmas (1954)

Synopsis: After WWII, Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye\’s characters become a well-known performing duo. Along with a nightclub act performed by two sisters (Rosemary Clooney and Vera Ellen), they work to revive their former commanding officer\’s lodge in Vermont.

Why You Should Watch: This is a huge film that any film buff needs to see at least once. Basically, if you don\’t know all the songs from this soundtrack, there\’s a major gap in your film education. And White Christmas is family-friendly!

Note: Don\’t confuse this with Holiday Inn which also happens to feature the iconic song \”White Christmas.\” Holiday Inn came first (1942) but it\’s not, remotely as good a film.
