Advent Calendar 2017: Day 8

Good Morning! Growing up, Christmas was always synonymous with good music. There were the \”Rat Pack\” and that era along with some exceptional singers like Placido Domingo and Andrea Bocelli. Then there was Mannheim Steamroller, a favorite of Babbo\’s. It would play on a loop while we were decorating the tree or wrapping presents in the month of December.(And made for the perfect gift because the group regularly released new albums!)

\”I Saw Three Ships\” is my choice today and I can tell you why: It\’s a medieval-sounding version and yet the variations building into a complex structure that makes you want to skip around the living room spreading tinsel everywhere. Happy skipping and tinsel-spreading!

The quote below is from Five Christmas Poems by Gage Earle Freeman published in 1860. I love that feeling of \”home.\” Don\’t you?

Have a wonderful day, everyone!
