Title: Christmas Inheritance (2017 – Only available on Netflix)
Synopsis: Ellen Langford is a New York socialite (the likes of Paris Hilton) who makes a regular appearance in the local media for scandalous behavior and her fiance Gray is no better. Just before Christmas, she is tasked by her father to head to the town of Snow Falls to fulfill an annual tradition to his old business partner Zeke in order to earn her right to inherit his business. The catch? She has to make due on $100 and no one in town should know her identity. But Zeke is a no show in Snow Falls and Ellen finds herself stranded at the local inn with the kind, handsome innkeeper.
Why You Should Watch: You can probably guess that Ellen makes some very positive changes to her life and outlook due to her experiences in Snow Falls. That\’s one of the best things about Christmas Inheritance along with the excellent cast. (Look for Andie MacDowell as Jake\’s aunt.) The idea of annual Christmas letters between the two business partners is also a sweet, sincere touch to this film.
