Happy Friday! Hope you all had a great week like Sully who was promoted from service dog to hospital corpsman second class. (Awww!) But even if you don\’t have the lofty connections to realize your career goals this week, you know it\’s Friday. It\’s also time for another \”5 Things.\” Enjoy!
1) Over the weekend, SNL had a hilarious skit called \”What\’s that Name.\” Quirky as usual for host John Mulaney and it totally works. Favorite quote: \”I roll with a crew of problematic bachelors and we call ourselves \’The Squad.\’\” Haha! I have a sneaking suspicion that sentence was a surprise on the cue cards as is typical of John\’s writing for Bill Hader.
2) NPR has a newish podcast called Throughline that delves into the past that isn\’t really so past… like conspiracy theories and the ongoing conflicts with Iran. The stories are interesting and the best part of coming in a little late is that you can binge-listen a few episodes in a row.
3) You might be surprised to know that there\’s an advantage to ADHD: creative thinking! Inventiveness and the ability to conceptualize beyond what is commonly known were found to be strengths in those researched. How cool to know that everyone has their super strengths!
4) On The Moth, Bob Baril tells a very cute story about bonding with his son. The experience was priceless even if the winnings on Who Wants to be a Millionaire were less than stellar.
5) Happy Women\’s History Month! I love that NASA is celebrating (intentionally or not) with the first all-female spacewalk. Apparently, the mission will be live-streamed. Girl power!
Okay, that\’s all for now. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone! (And don\’t forget to change your clocks this weekend… boo!)
