5 Things: Exo-Orange Ricky Edition

Happy Friday! Hope you all had a wonderful week like those lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the meteor showers. (Still waiting, here!) Well, even if you\’re still watching the sky (the meteors will peak at various points until Nov 3), it is Friday. Woo! Time to check out \”5 Things\” to get you through your day to the weekend. Enjoy!

1) The future is here: A French university made it possible for a paralyzed man to walk with an \”exoskeleton.\” Definitely one of the coolest things that I\’ve seen this week. Now, if they could only cut the production cost and make the suit widely available!

2) I have to share a particularly amusing question from Jeopardy but, first, a little backstory: I watch Jeopardy A LOT. Almost every night, in fact, and this week I was very confused. To make a long story bearable, I feel rather vindicated now that I did not get the correct answer because it was a hoax! One of the clues regarding the game Tetris claimed that the shapes had some rather bizarre names. Hearing Alex Trebek say \”Orange Ricky, Hero, and Smashboy\” was pretty priceless, though.

3) Business Insider featured an intriguing article about a typical week in the life of an Uber/Lyft driver. It\’s a little lengthy but definitely worth following through to the end. Clarke is an engaging writer as well as an excellent driver.

4) The website Pocket makes a good case as to \”Why You Should Work Less and Spend More Time on Hobbies.\” I mean, I was totally sold just by the title alone but it\’s a good article. Food for thought when it comes to a good work/life balance… maybe something worth forwarding to the boss? 🙂

5) And you might enjoy some more fun pumpkin recipes. The pie crust dippers are a very cool idea for your next potluck or celebration of all things pumpkin.

Okay, that\’s all for now. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
