Good morning! It\’s Tuesday: #TacoTuesday, #TutuTuesday, or even better Human Rights Day. Founded on December 10, 1948, Human Rights Day was particularly important after the atrocities of the Holocaust and World War II.
Not to leave your day on a massive downer: Humorist Fred Allen is a favorite of mine thanks to the show What\’s My Line? and happens to be a clever memoirist as well. He wrote a funny little bit about his time at Christmas during World War II (and that of FDR!). Coffee was rationed and Allen was a prominent radio personality during the time:
