5 Things: Cabin Fever Week 8

Happy Friday! A very Happy Mother\’s Day to all you mothers and motherly people out there! Let this serve as your reminder that you can still plan something special for your mother even if that means a drive-by or ordering a flower delivery. Plan that now before you forget!

Well, even if the COVID-19 quarantine time warp made you lose all track of time, it is Friday, my friends! Another week closer to relatively normal life, again. So, sit back and check out \”5 Things\” to help you get through the weekend of isolation. Enjoy!

1) Quarantine music just got a new favorite (for me, anyway). Barenaked Ladies played their hit \”One Week\” from their respective homes. (Is that a vampire Dean Martin?) Funny to think that the song came out in 1998! Some good memories there. Speaking of fond 1990\’s memories, you can also check out \”All I Wanna Do\” (Quarantine Edition) with Sheryl Crow and crew including a chicken and a unicorn.

2) Roman Holiday is free with watch with Amazon Prime! The film pairs Audrey Hepburn as a rebellious princess with journalist Gregory Peck in a memorable Romantic Comedy. If you haven\’t seen it (or seen it yet this year), it\’s time!

3) For a little culture at home, check out Lord of the Dance (Home Edition) and the NYCB\’s Digital Spring Season presenting Balanchine\’s Rubies. Love, love love! 😍

4) It seems like a 1990\’s kind of a week. I recently discovered the family sitcom Step by Step with Suzanne Somers and Patrick Duffy on Hulu. Think Yours, Mine, and Ours meets Family Matters. In fact, the show is very family-friendly with a funny little Family Matters crossover episode where Steve Urkel drops in on the family.

5) Lastly, spend a joyful few minutes with baby goats! You know that you needed to see those sweet faces today as they kick up their heels (literally). You\’re welcome.

Okay, that\’s all for now. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
