Good morning! Hopefully, you all had a great weekend and are ready to tackle Monday. (Ew!)
Today, check out the sweet story of \”Tilly\’s Christmas\” by Louisa May Alcott as told on the Little Stories Everywhere podcast. The young Tilly\’s own ethic to \”love thy neighbor\” inspires another to do the same in a very sweet way.
One of the loveliest things about Alcott\’s stories is how revered her kind, tenderhearted characters are. They are the ones to emulate because their strength comes from love. Meanwhile, we\’ve been trained to do the opposite. In order to get what we need, we must fight. It\’s become a bit of a constant \”fight or flight\” mode. Especially in 2020 where tempers are running high.
Today, let us be kind and tenderhearted to all creatures. May we all understand that life is hard and that it shouldn\’t matter whether our kindnesses are acknowledged. It\’s just the right thing to do.
Have a wonderful day, everyone!
