Good morning!
Journalist Dorothy Kilgallen was a very popular columnist, radio, and TV personality who once engaged in a literal race around the globe. Her \”Voice of Broadway\” column regularly followed the gossip of the New York social scene. Kilgallen was not afraid to speak (or write) her mind. One of her columns even sparked a well-documented feud with none other than Frank Sinatra!
The following column was published on December 15, 1950 in the Olean NY Times Herald. Kilgallen\’s \”Christmas shopping\” speaks to her quick wit and candid writing style. I hope that you all enjoy this glimpse into an era past as well as I did!
Have a wonderful day, everyone!
