5 Things: Guilty Pranksters Edition

Happy Friday and Happy (belated) Veteran’s Day! Hope you all had a great week like the (soon to be) 11 veterans who were given homes this year. It’s so lovely to see those who served our country being cared for like this. So lovely!

Well, even if you are just reeling from the fact that Thanksgiving is right around the corner, we’ve arrived at Friday. You know that means it’s time to grab your favorite warm beverage and check out another “5 Things” to get you through the day. Enjoy!

1) A funny for you: Notorious pranksters Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds switched late-night appearance gigs this week.

2) There are some interesting night sky acrobatics to check out this month including a partial eclipse on November 18-19, 2021. Get those cameras ready!

3) After recently watching the Jake Gyllenhall film The Guilty, it was great to find that the Real Crime Profile crew had enlisted some real-life 911 dispatchers to discuss. Interestingly, the film is a remake of a Danish film that was inspired by an actual emergency call. Details changed for dramatic effect, of course!

4) Another true crime film to recently catch my eye is Yara. The film is based on the true story of young Yara’s murder in the reticent Bergamo region of Italy and the dogged detective bent on solving the crime. This particular story just kept unearthing some bizarre details. If you’re not as interested in the film, that second link’s article is not to be missed.

5) In a shocking turn of events, Tik Tok has proven itself to be more than fake cooking hacks and pranks. A kidnapped young woman was actually rescued thanks to some well-publicized hand gestures to signal for help. Wow!

Okay, that’s all for now. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
