Good morning and Happy St. Nicholas’ Day!
In the past, you’ve read about St. Nicholas’ Day during my Catholic school years. We’d have to leave a shoe out in the hallway for St. Nick (AKA a parent volunteer) to leave treats in. Inevitably sitting through class with a cold foot as well.
What I may not have mentioned was what happened when my siblings I and were back at home. We would take turns playing St. Nicholas with shoes in the hallway between our bedrooms. It was fun to surprise each other with treats like fruit snacks or little toys from the Dollar Store while the others pretended to be oblivious in their rooms. We just loved doing things for each other!

Today, I am thankful for life; the ability to love and serve others. What are you grateful for today?
