Good morning!
Some time ago I was stuck in a job that just wasn’t a good fit for me. I’m an introvert and it required working very closely with the public. The job was just not my cup of tea and the resulting stress definitely took its toll. But, as many of us do, I put up with it because it’s a job and those aren’t always easy to come by.
In the meantime, I was praying and praying to find something else.
Then the day came when I had an interview for my current company. They called me in for a second interview but I still wasn’t expecting much. There were a lot of those at the time and none of them had panned out.
The first thing the following morning, they called me to offer the job with the pay that I had requested. It was an answer to prayer and the end of a long series of unsuccessful interviews. I remain grateful for it even today as I’ve been promoted a couple of times beyond that initial job. It is an incredible blessing to find something that I am actually good at doing.
Today, I am deeply grateful for the power of prayer and those four interviewers who took a chance on me years ago. What are you thankful for today?
