Happy Friday! Hope you all had a great week like the folks in Birmingham who had a special surprise in a pub. That Ed Sheeran is a class act!
Well, even if the only sing-a-long you enjoyed this week was alone and blasting music in the car, it is Friday! You know that means that it’s time to sneak an early piece of Easter candy and check out another “5 Things.” Enjoy!
Writer Ishmael Beah told a great story for The Moth about his grandmother who was a bit of a trailblazer in her Sierra Leone community. She sounds like such a cool lady!
To celebrate Easter/Passover, I like to break out a Challah bread recipe. My favorite is the honey wheat (which the family says that no one likes). So, here’s a more traditional version with white flour if you prefer. It’s fun to make two smaller loaves and bring one to the neighbors.
Bev from the blog Flamingo Toes put together a fun series of Easter crafts. Her punny embroidery hoop art always makes me smile!
Homemade peanut butter eggs sound amazing! Don’t they? Putting them in pretty cupcake papers would be a nice touch. If they last that long!
And check out this “magic cake” that could make a fun addition to your Easter dinner table. The cake ends up “magically” creating three layers while it bakes. It sort of reminds me of Chocoflan.
Okay, that’s all for now. Have a wonderful Easter, everyone, and don’t forget to pray for Ukraine!
