5 Things: Starry Frisson Edition

Happy Friday! Hope you all had a great week like the owner of a certain letter by Frank Sinatra who brought it to Antique Roadshow. Talk about good news!

Well, even if your collection is far from Antique Roadshow-worthy, it is Friday, my friends! You know that means it’s time to find a quiet spot to put your feet up and check out another “5 Things.” Enjoy!

Here’s an explanation of the musical concept of “frisson” (those chills you get when you hear a specific type of song). The article includes a great playlist to illustrate frisson and give you a little pick-me-up today.

A recent study finds that women may benefit from hugs more than men do. No wonder teenage nephews all over the world are hug-adverse!

LEGO is set to release a new kit that makes a replica of Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night.

I love this article from the BBC on the “Death of ‘mandatory fun’ in the office.” Fellow introverts who have also thrived in the new work-from-home culture will likely appreciate it, too.

And, if you’re looking for a little bit of fun, I cannot recommend the film Fitzwilly (Dick Van Dyke and Barbara Feldon) enough! Van Dyke stars as the butler of a wealthy woman who doesn’t know that she is actually destitute. This is because her staff keeps her in the manner that she is accustomed by some less than legal means. It’s so cute and available right now on Amazon Prime.

Okay, that’s all for now. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone, and don’t forget to pray for Ukraine!
