Happy Friday and Happy (early) Martin Luther King Jr. Day! Hope you all had a great week like the 82-year-old Walmart employee who is now able to retire thanks to the kindness of strangers. Such a lovely story!

Well, even if you feel like you should retire but are only 35, it is Friday, my friends! Time to look forward to a 3-day weekend for some and a new installment of “5 Things” for all. Enjoy!
In honor of MLK’s incredible legacy, here’s a great book compiled of his writing and speeches called A Testament of Hope. He was so eloquent and so reasonable in his words in a way that reached people of all demographics. The book is a great testament to how far his work and that of others like him has brought the world.
The YouTuber Delicious Day has managed to combine three of my favorite things: Oatmeal, bears, and cookies. I’ll bet that they’re even fun to make with kids. Fabulous!
A friend recently sent over this great article about the reading habits of Millennials. As a “geriatric Millennial,” I do find it to be quite accurate. A wonderful testament to our parents, teachers, and librarians who instilled in us a love of books!
Writer Reem Khokhar choreographed a new dance every day for a year and documented it. I just LOVE this idea! Daily exercise and daily creativity are good for the body and the soul.
Last but not least, here’s some shameless self-promotion. The sequel to Just in Time titled Another Time is now available for pre-order. Cara and Ana are headed to Italy with two Scottish highlanders in tow and the inevitable detour to the year 1570!
And no worries if you have yet to read Just in Time. You’ll have a chance to download a free copy of the ebook from February 1 – 3!
Okay, that’s all for now. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
