Advent 2020: Day 25 – Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas and Happy Friday!

It\’s been \”a year!\” In addition to the widespread (palpable) angst over all things virus and political, my family has been through the wringer. In the midst of Babbo\’s cancer diagnosis (and subsequent remission), there was the stressful (and still ongoing) family member\’s divorce/custody battle, and many other \”troubles\” whose effects were magnified by the nature of 2020.

My good sense of humor waned considerably at times.

Yet, sitting down to type this, I\’m able to see the blessings this year as well. The much prayed for cancer remission, relatively smooth sale of my home, my first new car, and an incredible job promotion just to name a few. Working from home full time has also allowed me a better work-life balance. I have the flexibility to do what\’s needed to manage the anxiety and stress that inevitably rear their ugly heads. There have been many \”dance breaks\” in the kitchen. Let me tell you!

Whatever you and your family are dealing with this year (let\’s face it, we\’re all plagued with something), I hope that you, too, are able to see the blessings in 2020. Though the struggle is still quite present, we have much to be grateful for. Most of all, we have a day to stop and give thanks for the gift of a Savior. That is one heck of a gift. God is good!

My prayer is that you all have an incredibly blessed day with your loved ones in whatever form that takes this year. Talk to you in 2021!

P.S. If there is something that I can be praying for you about, please, please, please leave it in the comments below, send me a message on InstagramTwitter, or via email. I figure that we can some extra prayers right now. Merry Christmas!
