5 Things: Swan Song Pasta Edition

Happy Friday! Hope you all had a great week like the proprietors of a UK pub that got to keep its name. Even more amusing, they received a framed apology. It’s good that the publishers of Vogue Magazine recognize seniority and that the pub owners have such a good sense of humor! Could you imagine this one going to court?

Well, even if you were waiting for a framed apology letter that never came this week, it is Friday! And you know that means it’s also time to set your work phone to voicemail and check out another “5 Things.” Enjoy!

According to Dr. Ruth Gotian, adults need recess, too. All that I have to say to this is “dibs on the swings!”

Many people have become uncommonly interested in seeing the ballet Swan Lake on Russian television.

Half-Baked Harvest’s “One Pot Spinach and Sun-Dried Tomato Burrata Pasta” recipe really had me salivating this week. So, yours truly will be scouring the city for Burrata cheese. Wish me luck!

The homeless population has been steadily growing in my city and many cities around the country. An interview with Michael Shellenberger regarding his book San Fransicko provides some interesting perspectives on this issue. I wonder if anyone from the City Council would want to listen?

And if you’re looking for another earworm that doesn’t quite make sense, check out “Give that Wolf a Banana” from this year’s Eurovision competition. (You’re welcome!) Although Ukraine’s entry was definitely worth the win.

Okay, that’s all for now. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone, and remember to pray for Ukraine!
