Happy Friday! Hope you all had a great week like the kids who can now get a haircut and develop a love of reading. This is one of the best ideas for a non-profit that I’ve heard. Books are such powerful things!

Well, even if your week didn’t afford much time for a good book, it is Friday, my friends! And you know that means it’s also time to find a cozy corner where you can check out another “5 Things.” Enjoy!
Roald Dahl wrote a rather colorful letter to his mother about a bulldog that he was pet-sitting!
This week the BBC published a fascinating article about Sophia Duleep Singh, a princess from India who was also a suffragette. I can’t wait to see the film about her life.
For those of you, like myself, who need a good vacation, here are 7 quite charming walled cities in Europe to escape to. They do look delightful for a good day of exploring. I’m particularly curious to see Malta. What about you?
If an escape to the beach is more your thing, here are some underrated beach towns in the U.S.A. Doesn’t sitting on a beach with the breeze fluttering through your hair while you read a good book sound like just what you need? Let’s go!
Lastly, this story out of Kerala just warmed my heart. These ladies work hard and got a nice surprise when they won the lottery! Life is rarely fair but it’s so nice to see a nice little reminder that nice things sometimes do happen to people who would most appreciate them.
Okay, that’s all for now. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
