5 Things: Borderline Space Microwave Edition

Happy Friday! Hope you all had a great week like the folks blessed by a unique plumber. What a lovely way to serve others! Don’t you agree?

Well, even if you weren’t fortunate enough to avoid costly plumbing repairs this week, we’ve made it to Friday, friends! You know that also means it’s time to check out another “5 Things” to make your weekend get here a bit faster. Enjoy!

Admittedly a little late to the scene on this one but this week I binged all of the Borderline podcast. The story is based on her book by the same name, Jayson Woodward recounts surviving a frightening attack in 1985 and the aftermath. It’s like a storyline out of Yellowstone but this brave lady truly lived it. It’s an incredible story and you’ll be glad that all the episodes are out. No need to wait a week for the next chapter of Jayson’s story!

Apparently, December marks 30 years of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. (Holy moly!) And the ABC channel will feature a special celebration with a hybrid animated/live-action presentation on December 15th. I remember seeing the animated version in theater all those years ago and being utterly captivated. It’s still my favorite Disney move to this day.

Speaking of movies, Cameron Diaz is “un-retiring” thanks to Jamie Foxx and a film aptly named Back in Action. And Jamie Foxx did record their phone conversation.

NASA has lost contact with a spacecraft sent to an unexplored orbit. It sounds very much like an episode of Star Trek, still, to think that there are so many unexplored places to chart. That and I love the description of this spacecraft as being the size of a microwave. It tickled my funny bone!

Last, but certainly not least, there is a fantastic show on ABC (also, available on Hulu) called Who Do You Believe? that I can’t recommend enough. The premise of the show is that two people recount the same incident from their own perspective. That leaves you to make up your mind who could be lying or if they were both in the wrong. It’s a great education in human behavior, perception, and a reminder that often there are three sides to any story between two people: the third being the truth.

Okay, that’s all for now. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone, and remember to pray for Ukraine!
