5 Things: Polka Record Edition

Happy Friday! Hope you all had a great week. It looks like the British royal family certainly did. And certainly, this lovely lady who turned 106! Some exciting milestones. I\’m just glad to escape royal wedding news for a few days. What a treat!

And can you believe that April is coming to a close? It\’s been a busy month! Well, if you, too, are reeling from the speed of time (and yet also relieved at the fact that it\’s Friday), I hope you\’ll check out these \”Five Things\” and pretend like there are another two weeks or so until May…

1) The casts (yes, plural!) of Hamilton decided to have a little fun backstage with Weird Al\’s \”The Hamilton Polka.\” That\’s right: don\’t throw away your shot to see something fun today!

2) All you fellow Great British Baking Show fans will be equally shocked to find out Mary Berry had once been arrested! Gasp!

3) Think your job is tough? One of the worst jobs in the world is moderating graphic content on Facebook and it might put your troubles into perspective. (It definitely made me feel more grateful.)

4) Growing up I would have been beyond delighted to find a lost treasure like this one. Could you just imagine digging around to unearth quite a find? From the 10th century no less. Amazing!

5) The Royal Opera House has a really cool video as an introduction to operatic voices. If you aren\’t an opera fan (or have some trouble with listening to really high octaves) you can skip this one. I won\’t be upset. 🙂

Okay, that\’s all for now. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
