5 Things: Easter 2023 Edition

Happy Friday! Also, Happy Good Friday and Passover! Hope you all had a great week like the members of the “London Lonely Girls Club” who are, reportedly lonely no more. A wonderful idea considering how difficult it is to make new friends as an adult.

Well, even if you have yet to find your local chapter of the lonely girls or guys club, it is Friday, friends! You know that means it’s time to bite the ears off of your Peep bunny while you check out another “5 Things.” Enjoy!

Check out some Easter traditions from around the world. I’d never heard of many of these. Do you and your family have some interesting traditions that involve a bonfire or even hot-crossed buns?

Combine two staples of Easter dinner (Peeps and chocolate, of course!) and you get Peeps Sunflower Cake! That’s pretty adorable. Wouldn’t you agree?

Speaking of Peeps, it wouldn’t be Easter without a Peeps diorama. I think that #32 (the marching band) is my favorite. What about you?

Well, here’s some interesting news: London City Airport has done away with the carry-on liquid rule. This would take some getting used to after all these years. I’m curious to see if other airports follow suit so that we can all stop chugging our bottled water at the security line.

If you, too, have a love for Anne of Green Gables or Emily of the New Moon, you may enjoy reading this article about L.M. Montgomery from Smithsonian Magazine. Charmingly, the tales of Anne have an enduring legacy with Japanese audiences as well. I love that these wonderful stories have such international appeal!

Okay, that’s all for now. Have a wonderful Easter/Passover/weekend, everyone!
